Amazing week long vacation! The hosts Jamie and Eilsa are amazing people and are truly the highlight of the trip. The house is fantastic with amazing views, a beautiful pool, wonderful wine. The itinerary they plan is so tailored and wonderful to ensure you explore the full region. I fell in love with the Garfagnana valley because of the wonderful tour guide Stefano. And the biggest highlight of the week was the amazing food prepared by Eilsa. If you have a week you want to explore and meet new people and learn new cultures and relax - this is the best holiday!

I had a holiday of a lifetime at Col Di Lavacchio. Jamie and Eilsa are spectacular hosts. The food is better than I’ve had at most restaurants, very varied and vibrant. The best thing about this place is their warm hospitality and lovely company. The farm is very beautiful with a picturesque pool and breathtaking views from every corner. The team make sure that you are always comfortable. The guided walks were all different from each other and very rewarding. We have nothing but nice things to say and the best memories from our trip.

We spent a fabulous week in early October here on a group hiking trip. While the weather was very rainy our hosts & group were flexible and the result was a great trip. Loved the location, food & wine! Our host Jamie & Elyse also accommodated our specific dietary requests. Would highly recommend Col di Lavacchio Agriturismo. Hope to return again.

This was the second time staying at Col Di Lavacchio and I’m already planning a return trip! Our hosts, Jaime & Ailsa are fantastic: friendly and welcoming opening their home to us. Ailsa is the most amazing chef, providing us with delicious farm to table meals. Jaime shares great stories and has twice had to change up itineraries secondary to unseasonable weather. I highly recommend this trip for the avid hiker! Please read the itinerary carefully to be sure 5 days of hiking with a good amount of elevation is within your physical capabilities.

The views are breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset – a true spectacle of colors and tranquility. The road to get there can be a bit narrow and challenging, but it’s absolutely worth it. Even as a beginner driver, I’m proud that I managed it! The sense of pride and accomplishment only adds to the adventure. Jamie and Ailsa are truly fantastic hosts. Their warm and humorous personalities make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. And the food – Ailsa’s cooking is nothing short of extraordinary! Every meal is fresh, healthy, varied, and incredibly delicious. You can really taste the passion and care in every dish. During my week, we didn’t have perfect weather every day. However, Jamie and Ailsa are great at keeping an eye on the conditions and adjusting the hikes accordingly. If needed, they come up with fun alternative activities like visiting caves, cheese tastings, or wine tastings, all of which were just as enjoyable! The hikes themselves are challenging, even for someone who is quite fit. This is definitely an active vacation, so make sure you’re prepared! But the effort you put in is rewarded with spectacular nature and views you’ll never forget. Overall, an unforgettable experience.
