I can’t fault this holiday. The farm where we stayed was stunning, the area so unspoilt and peaceful. The walks were carefully chosen to make the most of the amazing area and it’s mountains and terrain. Some changes were made to the schedule to accommodate weather conditions and the knowledge of the local guide was invaluable here. Jamie and Ailsa were extremely hospitable and attended promptly to any issues arising. Meals absolutely delicious and varied. A swim in the pool after a strenuous days walking was the icing on the cake. Stefano was a marvellous guide. He grew up in Lucca and is passionate about this part of Italy. He shared his extensive knowledge of the area and I learnt so much, in particular about the history of the region. He was very attentive, some of the walks were quite challenging with steep ascents and descents but he oversaw the group well and gave us appropriate support and encouragement.
