Wow - this place is ab-so-lutely stunning. From sunrise to sunset, I just couldn't get enough from looking at the views from the garden and the guesthouse (La Fattoria). The guesthouse is really cosy and very well equiped. There's multiple spots around it where you can sit and enjoy the awesome views. There's a couple really beautiful hikes starting practically right next to the garden. The hosts are great as well - both Jamie and Ailsa are lovely: kind, professional and always open for a good conversation. They know the area inside out and can take you on countless hikes in the surroundings. Ailsa's cooking is out of this world! I'll definetely come back when I'm in the area!

A wonderful place to stay in the Appennine! If you like wilderness and hiking this is your place! The appartements we’re decorated and furnished with a lot of taste. Kitchen had everything you could need. Super friendly hosts and sweet sweet dog 🙂 We had a lovely stay and can’t wait to go back!

A warm welcome and fantastic food in a tranquil setting.

un lieu authentique et charmant perche sur l arrete d une colline verdoyante, le luxe discret des details bien penses, d une decoration respectueuse de la region et de la nature. Nous avons passe 10 jours en famille dans un confort agreable, entre le jardin, la vue, les arbres, les oiseaux, la piscine a l eau de mer,... les odeurs du thym et du laurier. Un petit paradis pour se ressourcer. Nous avions un bebe de 8 mois, tout etait fourni pour un sejour au top pour toute la famille. Les repars prepares par ailsa sont delicieux, les legumes locaux, les parfums et les saveurs, tout y est! Je recommende vivement ce lieu comme une base afin de visiter la toscane environnante!

Have just spent a wonderful week savouring all that is on offer at Lavacchio. From the early morning swims in the saltwater pool, the days of hiking in glorious scenery and mountains to the wonderful food and hosting provided by Ailsa and Jamie. Our week of mischief, madness and mayhem was just perfect.
